Click "PC Games" and then enter the profile URL in the box called Bnet profile. This you have to do before joining this tournament, otherwise you cannot join.

How to play my tournament match(es)

When the time comes for your match to be played, then know that all matches are played online on BattleNet Europe or North America, depending on which region you are playing in. You and your opponent should add each other's gamertags as friends on BNET (See them in his/her profile here on the site) and then decide on who invites who, to a ranked match or invite to a channel in BNET. The only thing we require is that the games are played according to our rules.

1) When the tournament or round starts: Check-in before you play!

  • You MUST now check-in to each round, so must your opponent so the system registers who is online and ready to play.
  • You MUST check-in after a round starts - and so must your opponent so the system registers who is online and ready to play.
  • There is a deadline of maximum 10 minutes from each round start to check-in. You cannot check-in before the round has started!
  • Click the "My Next Match" button in the upper part of the page. From here you are taken to the matchup page, containing information about your opponent, round status and most important - you check-in to your round here!
  • If you don't check-in before the check-in deadline, your opponent will be given a default win if he has checked in.
  • if you check-in and your opponent doesn't check-in before the check-in deadline, you will be given a default win automatically and moved on to next round.
  • If none of you check-in, you are both out of the tournament.
  • If both of you check-in, but don't play the match, then you are also both out of the tournament.

2) When you have checked-in and are ready to play!

  • All rounds will now have a fixed length and the round match must be played within this timeline!
  • When you and your opponent have checked-in, you have up to 20 minutes to get the match played.
  • You can find details about your opponent in the matchup page, such as his BeGosu username.
  • You are both responsible to take contact and arrange where to meet up (which game lobby) and who invites who to a game.
  • We reserve the right to disqualify both of you if the round matches are not played. In that case neither you or your opponent will be moved on to the next play round.
  • It is the players own responsibility to ensure the guidelines are being followed and in case of disputes, we cannot be held responsible for that. We are not responsible for any connection issues related to Blizzards servers or the players quality of internet connections.

3) When you have played your match or the round has ended!

  • Once you have played your match round, please return to the tournament details page and wait for the status to change.
  • You will see either "PENDING OPPONENT" if your next opponent is not yet ready (most likely because he hasn't finished his match yet) or "MY NEXT MATCH" if your next opponent and round is ready. Please repeat the steps as described in section 1 to play your next match round.
  • If you see "YOU'RE OUT" it means you are disqualified from the tournament, either because you've lost your last round or your match was not played or your match was not played before the round ended or there might have been another unknown error which we cannot be held responsible for.
  • Please contact the admin in the chat lobby for any dispute before contacting live support.

General rules and Guidelines

1.0 – Preparations

1.1 – Complete player profile
All players must have a complete player profile on BeGosu. This means that the following information must be filed out correctly:
• You have to add a gamertag for BNet
• You must add at least one way of contacting you (MSN, Skype, IRC)

1.2 – Contacting your opponent
There are different ways to contact your opponent. Write a wall post, send him a private message via the message system and add his BNet ID. Remember to suggest a precise timeframe of when you are playable.

1.3 - Not being able to play your match before the deadline
If you do not manage to play your match before the deadline of the round, you will get a default loss. If both players are trying to claim a default win because of not getting to play their match in time, BOTH of them will get a default loss, and be eliminated from the tournament. There is no such case where we would send a player to the next round if his opponent has just showed the minimum of activity. Therefore; play your match before the deadline, since that is the best for the both of you.

2.0 - Game

2.1 - Choose a race

Players must select a race at the start of the match and cannot change race between or before games.

2.2 – Disconnects
If a player disconnects in the first 4 minutes of a match, and there was no contact between opponents, the game is replayed. After 4 minutes or after contact the remaining player might offer to replay the game, otherwise the replay must be uploaded and an admin needs to be contacted. You must re-game if you have no significant advantage (very likely victory).

2.3 - Pausing the game
If you have no decent reason, do not pause a game. You must inform your opponent before and give him an approximately time for how long it will take. The game can be only resumed by the player that paused, after he asked the opponent if he is ready.

2.4 – Observers
No observers besides admins and official/approved streamers can observe a game.

2.5 - Cheats and Hacks
Using any kind of cheats, hacks, bugs or any action that gives you an unfair advantage are illegal and will result in a ban and your account will be permanently suspended.
